A Primary Wiper Seal is a rim sealing system installed between the floating roof and the tank shell of an External Floating Roof Tank (EFRT) or Internal Floating Roof Tank (IFRT). Its primary function is to minimize the annular gap between the floating roof and the tank shell by maintaining continuous contact with the tank shell through a flexible wiper sealing element. The wiper sealing element is designed to maintain consistent contact with the tank shell while accommodating variations in the annular space. It can be installed as part of a primary rim seal assembly and combined with a Secondary Wiper Seal to provide enhanced emission control and additional protection for floating roof storage tanks.
External Floating Roof Tanks (EFRTs).
Internal Floating Roof Tanks (IFRTs), where specified.
Crude Oil Storage Tanks.
Gasoline, Diesel, Naphtha and Kerosene Storage Tanks.
Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) and Jet Fuel Storage Tanks.
Ethanol and Petrochemical Storage Tanks (subject to material compatibility).
Petroleum Refineries and Petrochemical Plants.
Oil & Gas Production Facilities.
Tank Farms and Bulk Liquid Storage Terminals.
New tank installations, seal replacement and retrofit projects.
